Yantai Oriental Protein Technology Co., Ltd. is a Sino-foreign joint venture, registered and established in 2008, located in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province. The company is a large-scale comprehensive modern pea deep processing enterprise integrating scientific research, development, production and operation, with registered capital of 3 million US dollars . The main products are pea starch, pea protein powder and pea dietary fiber. The products are mainly exported to the United States, Japan, Canada and other countries and regions. The domestic products are mainly sold to Shandong, Henan, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangdong and other provinces.

The company has always insisted on quality for survival, innovation for development, strictly in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001 quality management system and ISO 14001 environmental management system, from all aspects of production, process by process checks, and use strict testing methods, to achieve product testing qualified before leaving the factory, thus ensuring that the product always has a stable high quality, and in 2010 achieved quality management system certification and HACCP certification, and obtained the BRC, FDA, KOSHER, HALAL,this four certifications; and the United States and the European Union organic certification. Focusing on independent research and development, the company has developed two patents, "a device for separating protein and starch from soybean flour" and "a device for improving starch purity" and obtained a patent certificate for utility model. In February 2012, it obtained a patent certificate for "an invention for improving starch purity and its operation method", and invented "a method for extracting dietary fiber from bean starch ". The method was granted a patent certificate in February 2013, and the method of extracting pea molasses and pea protein isolate from wastewater was granted a patent certificate on March 4, 2015. The company utilizes the world’s advanced pea deep processing technology, imports advanced foreign pea production equipments, the company's pea protein production line is the first centrally controlled automatic production line in China. It uses the world's advanced Physical Close-Loop Fractionation Process to extract starch, protein isolate/ concentrate and dietary fiber from peas and other beans. This project is an innovation of the traditional technology of extracting protein isolate and starch by acid slurry. The advanced Physical Close-Loop Fractionation method is used to extract protein isolate and starch, and the production process water is treated to make full use of the effective ingredients, so as to realize the comprehensive utilization of resources. The process water for processing peas can be reused in some processes or recycled in production after reverse osmosis treatment. Processing peas with traditional technology USES 15-18 tons of water per ton, while processing peas with this technology USES 4 tons of water per ton, saving a lot of water resources. The process water for production can be discharged directly without causing pollution to the environment, which solves the pollution problem of water for pea processing and greatly improves the recovery rate of organic matter in peas.

This process is a revolution in the traditional technology of "acid slurry precipitation" ,which has been followed for more than 400 years in the bean starch processing industry . By introducing advanced technology and equipment, it has achieved many advantages such as advanced equipment, scientific technology, stable product quality, energy saving and environmental protection. It can realize the industrial production and comprehensive utilization of pulses starch and significantly improve the efficiency and economic benefit of processing. This technology is produced by ion exchange, flow closed-loop automatic working procedures, so that the quality indicators of starch exceed the traditional process starch, protein powder to meet the standard of food grade, and significantly improve the output of starch, protein powder and dietary fiber.

At the same time of product, equipment and production process innovation, the company strengthens information management, realizes the networking of various departments, installs automatic monitoring system, so that production situation can be fully grasped without entering the production workshop, saves time and manpower, and improves the level of enterprise information management.
